ANNA BUCH. Resided in Erdenheim, PA. Lost her three year battle with Melanoma on October 27, 2013. Interment at Kibbutz Givat Hashlosha (Einat) near Rosh HaAyin, Israel. Native of Poland, Graduate of Warsaw University and University of Massachusetts (Amherst). Husband of Michael Alper; Sister of Alexander Buch, aunt of Daniel Buch and Michael Buch-Gurfinkel all of Israel. Passionate of nature, the outdoors and hiking the world. Thirty year member of the BATONA hiking club of Philadelphia. Hiking virtually every weekend and going on many of their camping and vacation excursions. Spent her entire career as a social worker being compassionate and always going that extra step to assist the disadvantaged. Upon retirement volunteered with Jewish Family and Children's Services as well as at many local theaters.
