Passed away on January 1, 2018, in New York City. She was a January, 1948 graduate of West Philadelphia High School and a member of Sigma Pi Sigma High School Sorority. Growing up in Phila., she took lessons at Florence Cowanova Dance Studio, and also perform-ed on state at Philadelphia Experimental Theater.
In the early 1950's she taught dancing in Oxford Circle before moving to New York City to study at American Academy of Dramatic Art. She remained in New York and worked as a copy editor and then a legal secretary.
She is survived by her brother, Alan and wife, Leah of Langhorne; niece, Audrey of Newtown; and nephew, Michael of Kansas City; as well as grandnephews, Zachary and Drew; and numerous first cousins. She will be greatly missed by her friend of over 75 years, Doreen Hahn Shumsky.
Relatives and friends are invited to Services Sunday, January 7th, 11 A.M., JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 4737 Street Road, Trevose. Int. Har Zion Cem., Collingdale PA. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
