Audrey Shaw

Audrey Marilyn Shaw, beloved mother and aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026 at the age of 94. Audrey was the devoted mother of Mark Shaw (Debbie) of Akron, Ohio and Debbie Shaw of Washington, D.C.

Born in Washington, D.C. to Esther and Charles Rich, Audrey grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio with her beloved sister Beverly, with whom she shared a lifelong bond filled with laughter, silly private jokes, a little shopping and infinite love and loyalty. 

Audrey will be remembered for her impeccable taste and style, her creatively themed dinner parties, and her appreciation of all things beautiful. Above all, she will be remembered for her generosity and compassion for all lucky enough to know her. Nearly every day of her life included heartfelt acts of giving, both large and small. She found joy in delivering her famous noodle kugel to those in need of comfort food, and was a wonderful listener who gave wise, motherly advice.

She was an accomplished canasta player and played up until just weeks before she passed away. As an example of her optimism and determination, at the age of 85, Audrey adopted a puppy! Daisy became the treasure of her life and provided her with boundless joy and affection. And, always the planner, Audrey made sure Daisy will continue to live a pampered life in the care of her dear friend Lee Suarez.
