Barbara Mitchell Bormack
Barbara Bormack (nee Mitchell), 83, of Haverford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20th, 2020 surrounded by her children. A life-long resident of the Philadelphia area, Barbara was the wife of the late Melvin Bormack and daughter of the late Albert and Martha (Benner) Mitchell.
She grew up in Wynnefield with her two sisters and graduated from Philadelphia Girls High School. For 45 years, she lived in Wynnewood with her husband and children. Most recently, she resided in Haverford.
An athletic dancer & gymnast as a child, she was known to perform cartwheels across Woodbine Ave. She was well known for maintaining life-long friendships forged during childhood years. Most of her work was in the administration of medical offices. But she may be best known for her fierce love & devotion to family, especially her children and grandchild.
Barbara is survived by her children: Leslie Seibel, Mitchell Bormack and Matthew Bormack; her granddaughter Sarah Seibel; and her sisters Trevethan Brownlee (the late Herbert) and Sandra Ellis (Jack).
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 at 1 P.M. at Mt. Sharon Cemetery (Springfield, PA).
