FLEISHER
DR. BARBARA MARY (née Fine), 86, died on October 29, 2016 after a fierce and prolonged battle with cancer that did not slow her activities. Wife of the late Dr. Daniel S. Fleisher, mother of Wendy (Ivor Chomacki) Robertson, Jane (Sapir) Fleisher Weiss and Peter (Virginia) Fleisher. Also survived by seven grand-children and one great-grand-child. Services were privately held. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, received her PhD from USF and taught for many years at Arcadia University. We celebrate "Bobby's" enduring flair for a full life filled with personal and professional accomplishments, a wonderful marriage, loving family and friends, laughter, wit, adventure, travel, intellect, tenacity, bravely met challenges, and her connections with students and strangers who benefited from her steadfast commitment to making so many lives better. In her last five years she co-created the ElderChicks blog and co-wrote her first book, The New Senior Woman.
