Barry Winslow Miller, of Radnor, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on September, 23rd 2025. Born in Reading, PA in 1954, Barry lived a full and joyful life defined by love for family, friends, and community.
Barry met the love of his life, his wife of 45 years, on the very first week of freshman year at Syracuse University in 1972. Together, they built a beautiful life over 53 years of love and partnership. They raised two children, Andrew (engaged to Kinsey) and Rachael (married to Jason), and cherished their granddaughter Emma, with a baby grandson soon to arrive. Barry is also survived by his beloved sisters, Barbara and Linda.
Professionally, Barry was a respected leader, serving as CEO of DVIRC, an organization that became a pillar in the manufacturing community in Pennsylvania. He was admired for his vision, positivity, and integrity, and he led with both wisdom and kindness. He left a lasting impact on colleagues and the wider business community.
Barry’s outlook on life was defined by optimism and resilience. In 2019, he courageously underwent a double lung transplant, which he overcame with characteristic strength. He embraced every day as a gift as he travelled internationally in recent years to Portugal, France, South Africa, and many more of his favorite destinations. He cherished every moment with his family and loved visiting Utah to spend time with his son or DC to spend time with his daughter and grandchild.
He was an avid golfer, an enthusiastic traveler, and a beloved neighbor in Radnor, where he and his family have lived for more than 40 years. Known for his ever-present smile and encouraging spirit, Barry touched countless lives. Growing up alongside his children, he coached their sports teams and remained deeply involved in his community, always giving of his time and energy.
Barry will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He lived without fear, choosing instead to live fully, with joy, humor, and an open heart. His legacy of love, positivity, and generosity will live on in all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Radnor Valley Country Club on October 12, 2025 at 12:30 p.m., with a reception to follow.
