BETTY (nee Meyers), age 92, of Wynnewood, PA died suddenly on Jan. 25, 2011. The daughter of the late Stella and Joseph Meyers of Manasquan, NJ and the wife of the late Abe "Bam" Zolten of McKeesport, PA. Sister of Leo Meyers of Manasquan and the late Rose Gruber, Fanny Farcus, Lewis, Jack and Freida Meyers. She was the mother of Jerry and Joyce Zolten of Warriors Mark, PA, and Sam Zolten and Ruth Estrich of Wynnewood, PA. She was also the grandmother of Jessica (Zizi) Zolten of Honakaa, HI, Emily Zolten of Richmond, VT, Zachary Zolten of Conshohocken, PA and Josh Zolten and Dorian deTappan of Wynnewood, PA. She also leaves 4 great grandchildren - Bella, Sadie and Lucy Firman of Richmond, VT and Luke Chandler of Honakaa, HI. A lifetime bridge player, she played ardently with her friends at the Green Hill Condominium. She was a graduate of Manasquan High School where she was a cheerleader. She began her career working at the family's Meyers 5 & 10 in Manasquan and later owned a restaurant and deli in McKeesport with her husband Bam. Vibrant and independent until the day of her death, she was immersed in politics and current affairs. Betty loved to dance and thrived on the love of her family. Relatives and friends are invited to Services Friday, 2 P.M. JOSEPH LEVINE AND SON MEMORIAL CHAPELS (WEST), 2811 West Chester, Broomall, PA. Int. Haym Salomon Memorial Park. The family will return to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Zolten. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
