BIRDYE (nee Ruckenstein) of Penn Valley, PA, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and volunteer to charitable causes, peacefully passed away on Tuesday January 10, 2012. Survived by her husband David; daughters Sharon White and Jacqueline (David) Kaplan; her son Edward (Barbara Sprague) White, and ten grand-children Emily, Aaron, Michael, Ali, Jacob, Joshua, Jonathan, Rachel, Leah, and Joseph, whom she cherished. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Services Friday the 13th, 12 Noon at JOSEPH LEVINE AND SON MEMORIAL CHAPELS (WEST), 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall PA. The interment will follow at the Haym Salomon Memorial Park in Fraser (Malvern). Following the interment, the family and close friends are invited to return to the late residence. Shiva will be observed at the late residence on Saturday evening and Sunday. All are invited. The family respect-fully requests contributions in Birdye's memory be made to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
