Charlotte Elaine Cook (née Blumenthal)

September 8, 2025 • Age 90

With heavy hearts, we regret to inform you of the passing of Charlotte Elaine Cook (née Blumenthal), who died peacefully on the morning of September 8, 2025, at the age of 90. She was surrounded by loving family members in her final moments.

Charlotte was the devoted wife of the late Herbert “Bud” Cook and the cherished mother of Harry Cook (Linnie), Susan Gevurtz (Gary), Rob Cook (Beth), and Eve Smith. She was the beloved grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who brought joy to her life.

Born and raised in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia, Charlotte attended Overbrook High School and continued her education in advertising. Charlotte and Bud settled in Wyncote, a suburb of Philadelphia, where they raised their family. After their children were grown, they moved to Penn Valley, and later made their home in Jupiter, Florida.

Charlotte gave generously supporting causes close to her heart, including the Likoff Cardiovascular Institute of Hahnemann Hospital, Jewish Federation, Abramson Cancer Institute, Lankenau Hospital, and Jupiter Medical Center. Her kindness and dedication made a lasting difference in the lives of many.

Charlotte was passionate about art and expressed her talent through oil painting—especially portraits and still life—as well as sculpture. She shared her creativity generously with her community and her children’s schools, remaining active and engaged in the lives of those around her. Charlotte will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
