Dan Haas

Dan Haas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 87. Born on June 14, 1937, in Zikhron Ya'Aqov, Israel, Dan was the son of Elsie and Michael Haas and came to America through Ellis Island. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Haas, and is survived by his second wife, Pam Haas.

A talented trumpet player and bandleader in high school, Dan's love for music remained with him throughout his life. He married Barbara on March 1, 1958, and together they built a life that began in New York, moved to Rhode Island, and ultimately settled in East Brunswick, NJ, where they raised their family.Dan's career in textile quality control was marked by his entrepreneurial spirit.

He founded Allwash of New Brunswick, a business that reflected his meticulous nature and dedication to excellence. After selling his business, Dan returned to the textile industry, where he continued to make his mark.

A man of many passions, Dan had a lifelong love for photography, woodworking, classic cars, and travel. He enjoyed capturing life's most beautiful moments through his camera lens, creating intricate wooden pieces, and exploring new places with his loved ones. He was always eager to share his interests and skills with others, and his passion was infectious.

Dan was a devoted member of Temple Sholom in Broomall, PA, where he sang in the choir and remained an active participant in temple life. His commitment to his faith and community was unwavering, and he made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Following Barbara's passing, Dan found love again with Pam Rosenfelt, whom he married July 4, 2002, bringing joy and companionship into his later years.

Dan is survived by his children, Craig (Peggy), Ellen (Andrew); his grandchildren, Nicole (Aaron), Zachary and Brian; as well as his brother, Morty. Also survived by his step children, Brian (Carrie), Daniel (Jennifer) and Julie; grandchildren, Jack, Zoe, Leo, Charlie, Mason, Madison and Carter.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services, Sunday, April 6, 2025, 11:30AM at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Rd, Elmont, NY 11003.

A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends to celebrate Dan's life and the legacy of love, kindness, and dedication that he leaves behind on Friday, April 11, 2025, 11:30AM, at Temple Sholom, 55 Church Lane, Broomall, PA 19008, followed by a luncheon.

Shiva will be observed at Maris Grove and at the Tauber Residence, following the burial at 7:00PM on Sunday and again on Monday at 7:00PM.
