David Fickler

David Frank, formerly of Philadelphia and Lower Merion and a resident of Phoenixville, passed away peacefully on April 12th, 2024. He was born in South Philadelphia in 1956 to the late Rose and Isadore Fickler and was the cherished brother of Arlene Fickler. David shared 45 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Judy Fickler, and was a devoted father to Noah Fickler (spouse, Valentina) and Jeremy Fickler (spouse, Stacy). He took great pride in his role as Pop Pop to his grandchildren Ryan, Joshua, and Aviva.

David pursued higher education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). During college years, he met the love of his life, Judy, during his senior year. Their life together took them through Blue Bell, North Wales, and Chester Springs before they settled in Phoenixville. David, armed with a degree in chemical engineering, found his passion in the construction industry.

Following jobs with Hough/Loew and J Loew, David established his own construction company, D. Fickler Construction. Through his dedication and expertise, he made significant contributions to the landscape of Chester County, leaving behind a legacy of impressive commercial buildings.

To his family, David was much more than a skilled professional; he was a beacon of intelligence, kindness, humor, and warmth. He found joy in travel, culinary exploration, and passionately supported his Philadelphia sports teams. Though he has departed from this world, his spirit will forever reside in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved him.
