COOPERSTEIN

DEBRA S., age 64, on May 14, 2015. Wife of Thomas McCloud. Daughter of Jack and the late Elsie Levitt Cooperstein. Sister of Richard Cooperstein. She is also survived by aunts Stella Greenstein, Louise Cooperstein and Uncle Sol Cooperstein; many cousins, especially Ruth Gorneau, which whom she spoke daily. Debbie spent 36 years as an Art teacher in the Philadelphia School System. She taught at both Bartrum H.S. and was chair of the Art Department at Central H.S. During her career, she received many commendations and awards; most notably she was the recipient of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Art Teacher Award of Excellence in 2009, but most satisfying to her was being able to encourage, mentor and guide many students to careers in art.
Relatives and friends are invited to Services Sunday 10 A.M. at Mt. Lebanon Cem., Collingdale, PA. The family will return to the late residence Sunday at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
