Dorothy Greene

Dorothy Greene (nee Jacobson) - November 4, 2026, beloved wife of Robert Greene z"l; cherished mother of Linda (Jay) Friedberg, Carol (Joel) Wein, and Dr. Richard (Joanne) Greene; loving grandmother of Eileen Friedberg, Scott (Jessica) Friedberg, Debra (Matthew) Olim, Michelle (Robert) Kagel, Fred (Brooke) Weiss, Stuart Greene (Rachel Eisenberg), and Reesa (David) Sherin; and adored great-grandmother Ava, Remy, Justin, Logan, Stella, Mason, Ethan, Henry, Jordan, Jack, Isla, Aaron, Noah, Ethan, and Jordyn.Dorothy grew up on Ridge Avenue and graduated from Gratz High School. She was a devoted wife and partner to Robert Greene; together, they owned a pharmacy and a wholesale gift business. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends at their homes in Elkins Park, PA, and Ventnor, NJ. Dorothy became a certified water aerobics instructor. For many years, she taught at the Regency Condominium and the Abington Club. She loved reading and traveling around the globe. Dorothy was an active member of Congregation Emanuel and, later, Beth Sholom. She was committed to Judaism and ensured that all three of her children were confirmed and received a strong Jewish education. May her memory be a blessing.

Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services, Sunday, November 8, 2026, 11:00 am at Shalom Memorial Park, Huntington Valley, PA.
