Dr. William "Bill" Kozin

Media, PA – Dr. William "Bill" Kozin, 90, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. He was the beloved husband of the late Ronny Kozin (Cossuth). Bill was also a loving father to Scott Kozin (Louise), Marc Kozin (Donna),Adam Kozin, and Kurt Kozin (Wendy), and a cherished grandfather to Jennifer (Philip),Heather (Clay), Connor (Sarah), Bryan, Samantha, Nicole, Alexis, Alisha, Taylor (Nick),Dylan, and Rachel. In addition, Bill was an adored great-grandfather to Riley, Bennett, Everett, Landon, Carter, Addilyn, and Hunter.

A proud alumnus of Temple University, Bill earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees there. After completing his education, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army until 1965. Upon returning to the Philadelphia area, Bill established a family practice in his home, where he devoted 40 years to serving his community. His compassionate care and genuine concern for his patients touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on generations of families.

Outside of his professional life, Bill had a zest for living, cherishing time spent with family on annual vacations and outings. He was a loyal and devoted friend to many. Bill was an avid sports enthusiast who loved golfing, playing tennis, and attending games. His deep compassion extended to animals, especially those in need, as he opened his heart and home to many homeless cats and dogs over his life. In recent years, Bill found joy and comfort in his relationship with his devoted friend and partner, Mary Sokolic.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at noon at Teca’s, located at 191 S Newtown Street Rd, Newtown Square, PA 19073.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill’s memory be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA  or Shriners Hospital.
