SEGAL
ELLIS R., 84, died on November 20, 2011 in Philadelphia. For the last twenty years, Ellis was co-owner of Dion-Segal Associates, a real estate development company, and previously co-owned and operated Dee's Appliances, one of the largest appliance chains in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Ellis served in the United States Navy during World War II. He also served on the Board of Directors of Ben Gurion University, the Maltz Jupiter Theater, and was actively involved in the National Liberty Museum. However, the true pride and joy of Ellis' life was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-one years, Sylvia Dion Segal, his daughters Adele Cohen (James Dipollito), Robin Viola (Greg), and Karen Segal (David Green), and his grandchildren Matthew, Rachel, Amelia, Alexander and Rebecca. JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 4737 Street Road, Trevose. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will return to the residence of Adele and James and respectfully request that that in lieu of flowers contri-butions in his memory be made to the Ben Gurion University or the Maltz Jupiter Theater.
