
HAVESON, EUGENE, a Temple grad and self employed pharmacist for 40 years, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at his residence in Haverford, PA. He was 83. Mr. Haveson was an inspiring leader at the American Cancer Society. He served as President of its local chapter and headed up its Run For Dad charity run. As a prostate cancer survivor, Mr. Haveson helped many cope with the disease as the head of Man To Man Cancer. In addition, he launched the Yardley, PA chapter of B'nai Brith and served as the VP of Adult Education at Adath Israel Synagogue. He is survived by his wife Penny (Sandra); his daughter Cindy Haveson Veloric; and his sons Jeffrey and Allen Haveson; and 4 grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service at The Quadrangle in Haverford, followed by Shiva at the home of Cindy and Michael Veloric on Sunday, January 5th. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Philadelphia Orchestra.
