Evelyn Pfeffer Cohen

Age 94, of Havertown, PA and Ventnor, NJ.  Evelyn passed away on August 13, 2022.   She was born on August 26, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Molly and Hyman Korff. 

She was married to David Pfeffer for over 50 years.  They met at a wedding and knew one day that they too would marry.  They wrote letters throughout World War II and married shortly after David returned.  They had three children together:  Beth (Paul) Zamostien, Mitchell (Patti) Pfeffer and Scott (Margie) Pfeffer.

Evelyn and David enjoyed their summers with their families down the shore as well as their travels together internationally.

Nothing was more important to Evelyn than her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is survived by seven grandchildren:  Lauren (Adam) Piro, Todd Zamostien, Jill (Erez) Schnaittacher, Nicole (Brian) Lando, Greg (Cheryl) Pfeffer, Jared Pfeffer, Zachary Pfeffer and six great grandchildren.

Following her husband David’s passing, Evelyn remarried Samuel Cohen.  Together they lived in Ventnor , New Jersey as well as Hallandale, Florida.  They were married for 13 years before his passing.

Evelyn was always very social and loved spending time or speaking on the phone with family and friends.  Evelyn loved her games of Mah-jongg and Canasta.  Evelyn enjoyed her life by the ocean.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Haym Salomon Memorial Park located at 200 Moores Road, Malvern, PA  19355.
