Evelyn Schwartz (nee Schwartz) passed away on February 13, 2026. The wife of the late Irving Harold Schwartz, daughter of Harry and Cecelia Schwartz, sister of the late George (Buddy) Schwartz (Bernice), mother of Dr William Schwartz (Marlene), Dianne Rosenthal, and grandmother of Cyna, Lindy (Max), and Austin (Jen).

Evelyn was a graduate of Temple University and a member of Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority.

She married her high school sweetheart, and they were married for 71 years.

In her younger years, Evelyn was active with ORT, Hadassah, Henrietta Szold chapter, and the Einstein Auxiliary. She volunteered for decades at Einstein Medical Center, starting as a Pink Lady and leaving as a Gray Lady.

Evelyn was a member of Keneseth Israel Synagogue and Melrose Country Club before becoming a permanent resident of South Florida.

For 25 years, Evelyn and her husband were snow birds splitting their time between Florida and the Jersey Shore. They were active members of the south Florida Jewish community supporting Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Boca Raton, members of Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, where Evelyn was a Lion of Judah, and they led the Israel Bond drive at their country club.

After her husband passed away, Evelyn moved to Morse Life, independent living , West Palm Beach, where she lived for the past 9 years.

Evelyn lived a long life, dedicated to her family, and her favorite pastime, bridge.

May she rest in peace.
