Faith Meltzer Mathews (nee Hoffman)

Today, we said good bye to Faith. Born in Syracuse, NY, Faith enjoyed glee club, modeling and was a promising artist. After graduation she became a copy writer for Flah’s Dept. Store.  She loved decorating and creating stage sets for the local theatre in Williamsville, NY.  She was married to Albert Meltzer, radio disc jockey at the time and had 3 girls.  She got involved with landscaping and gardening when her family moved to Broomall, Pa in the 60’s.  As a wife and mother, Faith was involved with her daughter’s Brownie Troop and Ellen C’s Ballet School.  She married John Mathews after she and her first husband parted ways.  She was involved with Mr. Mathew’s Appliance Store until his passing several years later.  Faith, who suffered from heart disease and stroke, passed at Riddle Hospital early Friday morning.

Faith is survived by her 3 daughter’s, Gwenn, Karen, Helene and her granddaughter Meredith. There are relatives remembered who will remain private and in her heart always and friends who will not soon be forgotten.  She loved you all.  Thank you to all for your love and support over the years.  Rest in Peace Mom, love, Gwenn
