Faith Barbara Rubin

Faith Barbara Rubin (nee Douglas), September 7, 2026, of Dresher, PA; beloved mother of David Rubin (Ann), Jonathan Rubin (Lori) and Seth Rubin (Sheri-Rose); cherished grandmother of Alex Plung-Rubin (Dani), Spencer Rubin, Abby Creter (Liz), Jared Rubin, Sophie Buck (Silas), Hilary Slubin (Yoni), Zachary Rubin and Max Rubin.

Faith was a devoted mother, an adoring grandmother, and an extraordinary educator and youth director whose life was defined by her commitment to family, learning, Judaism, and community.

Faith grew up in the Boston area and received her Bachelors and Masters of Jewish Education from Hebrew College in Boston.  She served as the Education Director of Temple Beth-El in New London, CT from 1975-1980.

Faith moved her family to Dresher in 1980 and for more than 40 years, she dedicated herself to Temple Sinai in Dresher, where she became a beloved and influential presence in the congregation and in the lives of generations of families.

Over the years, she served as Religious School Director, Education Director, Youth Director, Coordinator of Enhanced Education, and ultimately Senior Educator. She was honored for her work by the Jewish Educator’s Assembly in 2013 and in 2015 was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Pedagogy from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. In 1990 she was honored by Hagesher Region United Synagogue Youth for her dedication and commitment to USY.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, 12:00PM, at Joseph Levine & Sons, 4737 Street Rd, Trevose, PA. Chapel services may be viewed live at https://www.levinefuneral.com/trevose-webcam.html.

Interment will follow at King David Memorial Park, Bensalem, PA.

Following burial, Shiva will be observed at Temple Sinai, 1401 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025. Minyan will follow at 7:00PM. Shiva will continue Thursday (12 noon) at the home of Seth and Sheri-Rose Rubin 114 Spring Street Metuchen, NJ, 08840. Minyan will follow at 7:00PM.
