Galina Gurevich

Galina Gurevich, June 6, 2026, of Philadelphia, PA. Beloved mother to Steve Gurevich (Lisa Farling), cherished grandmother figure to Lia and Sam Gurevich. Galina was born in the Estonian town of Sillamäe on November 11th 1949. Shortly thereafter, she and her devoted parents, Joseph and Elizaveta Stasyuk, moved to the nearby city of Narva where Galina was raised.

After receiving choral training in her teenage years, Galina moved to St. Petersburg (then Leningrad) to attend the prestigious and revolutionary for the time, Leningrad Jazz School to pursue her dream of singing. Shortly after her tenure there, she realized her dream and became a professional singer. She performed extensively throughout Russia and her musical career continued to thrive after immigrating to the United States with her husband Alexander Gurevich. As a performer, her radiance and flare for fashion was undeniable as she graced the stages of many major North American markets. Both on and off the stage, Galina was admired for her ability to bring joy into people's lives.

Galina led a very interesting and dynamic life and was adored by those whose lives she touched. Even though there were difficulties along the way, she never lost her cheerful, kind hearted and loving nature. Later in life, she shined equally as bright as a friend, neighbor and companion to those closest to her. She was truly one of a kind and she will be greatly missed.

Though our remembrance of her will be strong and lasting throughout, it is with heavy hearts that we must say goodbye to our beloved star, Galina. May she rest in peace with God, memory eternal.

Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Joseph Levine and Sons, 4737 Street Rd, Trevose. Interment to follow at Hatboro Cemetery in Hatboro, PA. Those unable to attend may view services live at www.levinefuneral.com/trevose-webcam.
