GEORGE, Dec. 7, 2006, of Melrose Park, PA. Husband of the late Esther (nee Goodman). Father of Dr. Harvey Horowitz and Carole Ziev. Father-in-law of Claudia Horowitz and Dr. Michael Ziev. Grandfather of David, Lara, Jennifer, Kimberly, Carly, Rebekah and Moira. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren and loving companion Ruth Wasserman. Relatives and friends are invited to services Sunday Dec. 10, 2006 at 12 Noon JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 4737 Street Road, Trevose, PA. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will return Sunday to the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Ziev and thereafter to the late residence. The family respectfully request that contributions in his memory may be made to the Esther and George Horowitz Cultural Center, c/o The Philadelphia Associaiton for Retarded Citizens, 2350 Westmoreland Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140 or to the Golden Slipper Club Charities.
