We Remember with Love….
Elder Gerald Harris was the third oldest child born to Elder Caleb Harris, and Shepherd Mother Nellie Harris March 25, 1956 in Annapolis, Maryland. The soul of Elder Gerald Harris was called home January 25, 2022 at the age of 65. Elder Gerald Harris started his educational journey in Annapolis, Maryland until his family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Elder Harris started his professional working career working for Tyreese Cleaning Services and several other companies. Elder Harris realized that the Most High had gifted him to be an entrepreneur and he started Harris Janitorial Service over 35 years ago. His company has grown to have 20 plus clients. Elder Harris was known as the hardest working man in business.
Elder Harris was known for his "Yes" sprit. No matter what the situation, issue, job, cost, etc. he would always find a way to accomplish the task at hand. Elder Harris serviced as a Board of Directors Member for Congregation Temple Beth'el, and served his spiritual community faithfully. Elder Harris was a giving and caring man. He would give the shirt off his back to ensure that others were taken care of. "NO" was a word that didn't seem to exist in his vocabulary. Elder Harris was the life of the party, he enjoyed seeing others laughing and having a good time. Elder Harris was known as "Money Pete". He lent and gave even when he didn't have it to spare. Elder Harris was a philanthropist. For many years Elder Harris partnered with State Representative Shirley Kitchen, and donated 100's of turkeys each year to ensure that those in need had a warm meal at Thanksgiving time. Elder Harris will be remembered as a great man and a helper to many!
Elder Harris leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Leah, his sons Elisha Harris (Turkessa), Josiah Harris, Saleem Murray, John Nance, Mikal Nance; his daughters Annah Harris, Tiema Murray; his father; Caleb Harris, his mother, Shepherd Mother Nellie Harris, his sisters, Eunice Williams, Francis Alston (Richard) and Anna; his bothers, Caleb Harris (Chrissy), Wayne Harris (Sheila) and Mark Harris, his grandchildren, his great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing Monday, January 31, 2022 from 10:00am – 11:00am, to be followed by services from 11:00am – 12:30pm at Joseph Levine & Sons, 4737 Street Road, Trevose, PA. Interment will be held at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
