Harold Jacobs

Harold Jacobs, July 11, 2023, of Philadelphia, PA. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Baltin) Jacobs; loving father of Victoria Dougherty (John), Samantha Jouin (Francois) and the late Benjamin Jacobs; cherished grandfather of Russell, James and Molly Dougherty, Eliza and Alex Jouin, and Fiona and Hannaliese Jacobs.   Harold graduated from Girard College, Temple University (BA) and University of Pennsylvania Law School and went on to a career practicing law as a partner at Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis Cohen.  Harold enjoyed spending time with his 7 grandchildren and was very proud of all of them.  He loved traveling with his wife, Susan, and with his three children in his younger days.  He enjoyed many family ski trips and time in Europe with his family. He was passionate about politics and history and was an avid reader all of his life. He leaves his family with many proud and cherished memories.

Family and friends are invited to Services Sunday, 12:00 PM, at Joseph Levine & Sons, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA. Interment at Haym Salomon Memorial Park. The family will be returning to the residence of Samantha and Francois Jouin immediately after the burial.  Shiva will be held at the residence of Susan Jacobs on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings beginning at 7:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harold’s memory may be made to the Fund for Girard College https://www.girardcollege.edu/support/online-giving/ or via check to The Fund for Girard College, 2101 S.
