Harry Brooks

Harry Brooks passed away on April 12, 2026 at the age of 94.

He is survived by his loving partner of seven years, Mimi Sherman, and was the beloved husband of 56 years to the late Joan Brooks (Miller). Harry was a devoted father to Susan (Marc) Howard, Andrew (Laura) Fried, and Beth Brooks. He was predeceased by his son Michael Brooks and daughter Bonnie Brooks Silver. He was the loving grandfather of seven and great grandfather of three.

Harry spent his career in the transportation industry and upon retiring, found a new passion for writing fiction novels. He was an avid poker player, participating in and winning many tournaments over the years.

Chapel services will be on Friday, April 17, 2026, and begin promptly at 10:00 AM at Joseph Levine and Sons, 4737 E Street Road, Trevose, PA. Interment will be private.

Shiva will be held at The Philadelphian, Social Room B, located at 2401 Pennsylvania Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130, beginning at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harry's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
