Helen Vinikoor

Helen Vinikoor, beloved matriarch and devoted wife of the late Martin Vinikoor, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, in Katy, Texas, at the remarkable age of 105.

Born in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood of Philadelphia, Helen was the youngest of seven children of Abraham and Lena Margolis. Helen is lovingly remembered by her five children: Carol Horowitz (Paul a’h); twins David Vinikoor (Ilene) and Dr. Diane Daum; and twins Abram Vinikoor (Marlene) and Rosalie Kammerman (Alan). She took immense pride in her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives span the country and the globe—each one a cherished part of her legacy.

After Martin’s passing, Helen moved from West Oak Lane to Northeast Philadelphia, where she began a fulfilling second chapter as Assistant Librarian at Northeast High School.

Helen spent summers at her cabin on Goose Pond in Canaan, New Hampshire—a place of quiet beauty and treasured family memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services, Thursday, November 6, 2025, 12:30PM, at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose, PA.
