HERBERT, on August 23, 2014, of Cape Cod MA, formerly of Philadelphia PA, and Laguna Niguel CA. Husband of the late Madelon (nee Curran) Goldberg. Most beloved and devoted father of Elsa Goldberg (Marty Powell); also survived by his sister-in-law, Fran Goldberg.
Mr. Goldberg was a proud Marine in the 4th Division. He served during World War II and was a survivor of the 1st wave landing on Iwo Jima, where he earned a Purple Heart. Herb was also a member of Fralinger String Band 1943. He retired from United Engineer-ing, where he was an accomplished draftsman.
Graveside Services and Interment Private.
