He was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Matilda, brothers Stanford and Martin, and the mother of his three daughters, Selma.
Herman was born on September 30, 1927, and grew up in Flemington, NJ. He served in the Navy in WW2, and served his community as a lifetime member of the Flemington-Raritan Rescue Squad. Brothers Herman and Martin were executives and owners at the business started by their father, Joseph, in the early 1920's, Flemington Furs.
Herman had many passions in life, including fishing, playing golf, often at Copper Hill Country Club where his father was a founding member, building/ flying all types of radio control model aircraft, and computer building and programming; a passion he passed on to his grandsons.
After retiring he enjoyed his golden years in both Florida and the Poconos. In his later years he established and instructed many of the residents at Ann's Choice, Senior Living Community, in the art of building and flying R/C aircraft. He posted many of the club's videos from his Go Pro camera to YouTube.
Herman was known and loved for his easy-going nature and positive attitude toward life with a great sense of humor. He lived life to the fullest to the very end. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. In lieu of flowers take your family fishing in a beautiful stream.
