Howard Fatell

Howard Bruce Fatell, 71, passed away on June 10 th from cardiac arrest.
Howard was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Northeast
Philadelphia. He attended Philadelphia public schools, graduating from
Central high school, class 228. He went on to pursue higher education
at Penn State, Annenberg School of Communications at University of
Pennsylvania, and spent time studying at Oxford. From teaching
religious studies at Adath Israel to learning string theory and mastering
astronomy so he could spend time in his observatory– Howard was a
lifelong learner and loved to share his knowledge. He was preceded in
death by his wife Bonnie Glantz Fatell. He is survived by his Son, Daniel
Fatell (40) and his wife Andie Fatell, his daughter Sara Fatell (38) her
wife Kelsey Ryland and his grandson Ryland Max Fatell, his sister Bonnie
Jaffe and her husband Joel Jaffe.

We will be paying tribute to his legacy at Congregation Beth Am Israel
(1301 Hagys Ford Rd, Penn Valley PA) on Tuesday, June 13th, at noon.
Shiva will be observed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
from 6:30pm-8:30pm with services at 7:00pm at the Fairmont social
room (41 Conshohocken State Rd. Bala Cynwyd).
