June 7, 2024, 99 years old, of Audubon, PA; devoted husband for 62 years of the late Leona (nee Tannenbaum); loving father of Howard Fischer (Phyllis), Dr. Michael Fischer (Dr. Cheryce), and Adam Fischer (Anne); cherished grandfather of Becca Fischer Leshner (Hal Leshner), Erik Fischer (Mabel, Rachel Fischer Carroll (Michael Carroll), David Fischer (Chelsea Coniaris) and Jack Fischer; and great grandfather of Charles, Lena, Anna, Blake, Natalie, Emmett, and Ella. Irving is also survived by his brother Louis. Irv served as a U.S. Army Infantry Captain in World War II, serving in France, Germany and Austria, and helped liberate the Mauthausen Concentration Camp. He graduated from City College of New York with a degree in chemistry and last worked as Vice President of Sales for National Starch and Chemical Company before retiring. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Irving's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice
