James Scanlon

James R. Scanlon of Philadelphia, PA passed on October 11, 2024. 

He was the loving husband of Patricia (nee Boyle); devoted father of Bridget Sassa, Laura (Ricardo) Verges and Maureen (Jeffrey) Shapiro; cherished brother of Ann Byrne, Helen Scanlon, Francis Scanlon, the late Joseph Scanlon, the late Mary Scanlon, the late John Scanlon and the late William Scanlon; and proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren: Samantha, Alexandra, Zachary, Andrew, Scott, Brennan, and Emma and 3 great grandchildren: Miles, Zoe, and Lana. 

Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1739 Ferry Ave, Camden, NJ on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 10:00 am. Interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
