On September 8, 2017, of Philadelphia PA, formerly of Chicago IL. Beloved wife of the late Friedrich Katz; loving mother of Leo Katz and Jacqueline Ross, sister of Wladlen Badian and Joseph Badian and devoted grand-mother of Amanda and Tessie Katz and Benjamin and Miriam Ross. Dr. Katz was a prominent pediatrician. She practiced in Berlin, Germany and then in Chicago. Her husband Friedrich was a distinguished historian of Latin America at the University of Chicago. Relatives and friends are invited to Memorial Services, Sunday, September 17, 2017, at 9:30 A.M., JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 4737 Street Road, Trevose. Interment with her beloved husband will take place on Friday in Vienna, Austria.
