JANICE ROSE, Feb. 20, 2016, formerly of Elkins Park, PA. Beloved wife of Nick Goldman (deceased); loving mother of Jill Goldman-Callahan (Robert), Josh Goldman (Marina), and Jennifer Goldman; also survived by four cherished grandchildren. Jan was the only female member of Hahnemann's first graduating class in clinical psychology. She worked as a psychologist at Graterford prison and went on to lead the Peberty clinic for children. A feminist, intellectual, music lover, violinist and consummate dresser, she was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She had a long and distinguished career in private practice, continually expanded her capabilities by exploring a range of therapeutic modalities. She was recognized as the outstanding alumni of the year by Hahnemann University. Later in life, she became a published poet, exploring themes of self, family, Judaism and aging. Shiva will be observed Tuesday only at the Zemel/Shapiro residence in Elkins Park beginning at 7 P.M.
