RACKMIL--Joan M.
A pioneer in the early days of live television, died on Saturday. She was 91. From 1952 to 1957, with then husband Gene Crane, she co-hosted the nation's first husband-and-wife morning show, "The Mr. and Mrs. Show". A career in the art business was followed by a move to New York when she married Milton Rackmil, President of Universal Pictures and co-founder of Decca Records. A woman of strength and style, Joan lived a life worth celebrating. She is survived by her adored and adoring son David Crane and his husband Jeffrey Klarik. Services Wednesday, 12:00 noon at Haym Salomon Memorial Park, Frazer, PA. Donations in her memory may be made to PBS. www.levinefuneral.com
