JOAN SEGAL, Philadelphia writer, March 29, 1930 to December 24, 2013. Beloved wife, mother, and friend. A graduate of Music and Art high school in New York City, Wellesley College, and Columbia University, she was a wife to Doctor Stanton Segal, an accomplished scientist, and mother of Mark, 55, an international lawyer, and Roy, 52, a New York city artist. Joan was a writer of short stories and a playwright involved with the Philadelphia theater scene. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family. Services are private.
