JOSEPH R., December 23, 2014, of Warwick, Pa. Husband of Jeanette (nee Marder). Father of Andrea Susan Lyons and Marci (Dr. Warren) Kurnick. Brother of Herbert (Ruth) Lyons, Gertrude (the late Mark) Weiss and the late Jeffrey and Bess Lyons. Beloved and cherished grand-father of Paige (Philippe) Gabay, Courtney Glassman and Tyler Glassman. Grandfather of Jordana (Barry) Mark and Casey (Jaclyn) Green. Also survived by six great-grand-children. He was a distinguished war veteran who served with the 8th army Air Force as a tail gunner on B-17 aircraft. He was a POW in Krems, Austria where he was detained for two years and a proud purple heart recipient. He was a wonderful musician and great teller of jokes. Best of all he was a kind and generous person who loved and was loved by many. Relatives and friends are invited to services Sunday December 28, 11:30 A.M. at JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 4737 Street Road, Trevose. Interment Montefiore Cem. The family will return to the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Warren Kurnick and request that contributions in his memory be made to Abramson Center for Jewish Life.
