Judith Busch

Judith Busch (nee Snyder) of North Wales, Pa., passed away on May 25, 2026. She was 88.

Born August 24, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of Jacob and Helen (Weis) Snyder.

Ms. Busch grew up in the Olney section of Philadelphia, eventually graduating from Temple University with a degree in business.

Shortly after graduation, she worked with her father in his accounting firm and later as a buyer for an upscale boutique in Jenkintown, Pa.

She loved cooking for her family, especially during holidays, and made sure there was more than enough of her famous brisket for everyone (with plenty of horseradish, too, of course). She was a creative, meticulous person who enjoyed arranging flowers and shopping for annuals, perennials, pots and planters at local nursery stores, often returning home with more than her yard could accommodate.

A single parent for most of her life, she was a wonderful, caring mother doing the job of two parents. When her daughters Amy, Lauren and Hillary were married, she made sure they had the most beautiful, memorable weddings she could plan, being intimately involved in the finer elements, like floral arrangements, linens and of course, food selection.

She enjoyed a competitive bridge game with her friends around a card table, bluffing her way to a big win, while catching up on the latest news and happenings with them and their families. She was a formidable Scrabble player, too. An avid reader, she loved a good British mystery and relax to some jazz music, playing it louder than family members in adjacent rooms could tolerate. And she loved the Jersey Shore, spending time with her family in Avalon, where she once owned a home, and later in Sea Isle City.

Later in her life, as she battled Alzheimer’s disease, she delighted in birdwatching. Family members always made sure there was enough suet in the bird feeder, so they’d stop by to visit her. Early mornings in spring, summer and sometimes fall, she’d open her front door and reach her hand out to feel if it was comfortable enough to sit outside. When the weather agreed with her, she’d sit outside for hours to watch the cars pass and people walk by, sometimes waving to them and always dreaming of where they were going and what they were doing. When inside, she enjoyed watching Hallmark Channel dramas, and despite being Jewish, she liked the Christmas shows the most.

She loved (and was loved by) so many people and felt blessed by being gifted by seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. And she had plenty of room left in her heart for animals, loving dogs and cats as if they, too, were her daughters, sons and grandchildren.

Ms. Busch is survived by her brother, Richard Snyder; daughters Amy (Bill) Beccone, Lauren (Matt) Jabbour and Hillary (Craig) Mongeau; her son, Jon Busch; grandchildren, Alexander (Julia) Beccone, Mika Beccone, Makensy Jabbour, Brett Jabbour, Braden Jabbour, Jolie Mongeau and Aubrie Mongeau; and great granddaughter, Bailey Beccone.

Services and interment were private. Contributions in her memory may be made to Home at Last Dog Rescue (homeatlastdogrescue.com) or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).

Arrangements were made by Joseph Levine & Sons - Blue Bell, Pa.
