Judy devoted her life to family and community. She earned her BA in Art History and American Studies followed by an MS in Library Science from Drexel University at a time when women often struggled to balance professional aspirations with family life.

Over the course of her career, she served as the Executive Director of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Minnesota; the Jewish-Russian Resettlement Coordinator at the Minneapolis Jewish Federation; the Associate Foundation Director of the Minneapolis Jewish Community Foundation as well as the Vice President of Development at the Minneapolis Family & Children’s Service. After relocating to Pennsylvania following her husband’s death in 2007, she continued her professional work as a Project Manager at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, focusing on the Rhawnhurst NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Community).

In retirement, Judy remained dedicated to service as a Nonprofit Fundraising Consultant and active volunteer. She contributed her time and talents to numerous organizations including the Ardmore Library, ArtSphere, Ready 4 K, Suicide Voices of Education, Pathways, Groves Academy, Shir Tikvah, Virginia Early Childhood Foundation, and many more.

Judy leaves behind a legacy of deep devotion to her family and an enduring commitment to community and charitable work. She firmly believed in education as a pathway to a fulfilling and successful life. She cultivated a unique and special relationship with each of her grandchildren, encouraging their curiosity, fostering their love of learning, and celebrating their individual talents.

She faced the challenges of illness and injury in her later years with courage, dignity, and resilience, qualities for which she will long be remembered.
