Born in Yeadon, Dr. Kaliner attended Yeadon High School before graduating from Temple University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Kaliner and his twin brother, Perry, of blessed memory, opened their medical practice in Yeadon in 1969, at the Parkview Court Apartments, eventually expanding the practice to three different sites. When Perry died in 1983, Larry continued the practice in Yeadon only, until retiring from full time practice in 1998, due to his declining health. He visited them at home and in various nursing facilities, and developed personal relationships with his patients and employees," said Lois Kaliner, his wife of 50 years. When he was not practicing medicine, Dr. Kaliner could be found on the golf course, traveling with his family or simply watching sports on television. He was a fan of all 4 major sports and enjoyed watching tennis and golf as well. His favorite place to relax was at their apartment in Longport, New Jersey, where he would work on his famous tan. In addition to his wife, Dr. Kaliner is survived by his children, Abbe Kligerman, Jeffrey Kaliner and Daniel Kaliner, and his eight grandchildren, Ross, Carli, Amanda, Megan, Ryan, Jordan, Aliza and Olivia.
