Larry Stephen Levin

LEVIN LARRY STEPHEN Passed away peacefully at home Friday, August 6th, surrounded by love, after courageously living with acute myeloid leukemia – recently diagnosed in March 2021. Larry was born on October 19, 1944 in Philadelphia to Lenore Freedman and Edward Levin. After graduating from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Marketing and serving in the US Army Reserves, he co-founded and served as President of Scott-Levin Associates, a 150-employee healthcare service company, for 17 years. Later in his career, Larry enjoyed serving as an adjunct professor. Throughout his life, Larry loved his family and – in no particular order: The Eagles (the team and the band), Phillies, Sixers, March Madness, Simon & Garfunkel, Linda Rondstadt, Crosby Stills & Nash, Queen, Guns & Roses, Bernie Sanders, craps, horse racing, iced coffee, Kabbalah, Uncle Kracker, bowling, watching CNN, eating at diners, stuffing, reading the Daily News, NOT attending large social gatherings, and being generous with those he loved. Larry is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving and missing him terribly are his children, Kim (Dave) and Dana (Eric); his three grandchildren: Justin, Jesse and Sam; his partner Carol; siblings Janice (Jerry), Leslie and Leigh; his nieces Robin (Rick) and Sharon (Jamie); his grandnieces and grandnephew: Caitlin (Andres), Aly, Shaina, and Micah; and his nephews Fielding and Shaw (Sarah). When you think of Larry, please remember his generosity, kind heart, sense of humor, quick wit, great taste in music, and full head of rock star hair. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or democratic candidates in the 2022 midterm elections. Larry's family will celebrate his life privately.
