Leatrice Harriet Simpson M.D.

Leatrice Harriet Simpson M.D., on December 26, 2025, of Manhattan, NY; loving mother of Evan Lerner and Andrea Lerner (Lee Duchinski); immensely proud grandmother of Taylor Duchinski.

Born on December 26, 1937 in Washington Heights, New York to parents Evelyn and Joseph Simpson.

Leatrice attended Forrest Hills High School where she graduated with honors, going on to Queens College where she was invited into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and earned her elementary level teaching certificate.

Later in life Leatrice obtained her medical degree, continuing on to be recognized by the American Psychiatric Association. She was adored by her patients in her second career practicing psychoanalysis in Manhattan, NY until her retirement just a few years ago.

Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services, Wednesday, December 31, 2025, 11:00AM, at Mt. Sharon Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Leatrice's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
