LEVY
LEONARD, December 9, 2012 of Wynnewood, PA. Survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Jeanne (nee Schimel) and three children Arlynn Kaufmann (Elliott Gardner), Marcia Lepler (Elliot), and Stuart (Barbara) Levy. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren a great source of his joy. Jeanne and Leonard met at Duke University and although Leonard was born and raised in the south, they moved to the Philadelphia area where Leonard opened a number of ladies shoe stores. Leonard was a wonderful role model for his children and grandchildren, showing them that strength and manliness could and should co-exist with gentleness, charity and caring for others. Leonard's "sense of humor" was legendary as was his "card sense" which kept him active and sharp at the gin and poker table to the very end. The family thanks all of the card players and friends who showed such care for him. We thank G-d for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him. Relatives and friends are invited to services Wednesday December 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Main Line Reform Temple, 410 Montgomery Ave., Wynnewood PA. Interment Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ. The family will return to the late residence where Shiva will be observed Wednesday and Thursday. Services at 7:00 P.M. Friday until 2:00 P.M. The family respectfully request that contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
