Lewis “Louie” Bratspis, RPH, 82, passed away on July 22, 2026, in Northfield, NJ. Born on November 10, 1943, Louie lived a life marked by dedication to his family, community and his passions. A proud graduate of Overbrook High School and Temple University, School of Pharmacy, Lewis began his career as the owner of West Village Pharmacy from 1970 to 1981. He later owned the Cuckoo’s Nest gift shop and One Flew Over café from 1981 to 1986 before serving as Northeast Regional Director for Rite Aid and then serving as Head Pharmacist for multiple Rite Aid locations in the area for two decades. Known for his humor and love of sports, he famously closed his pharmacy on Sundays at “halftime” during Eagles games.

An accomplished athlete in his youth, Lewis excelled as a gymnast and baseball player at Overbrook High School. Ambidextrous and a natural switch hitter, he was a force on the field and in the gym. His athletic prowess was legendary among those who knew him.

Lewis cherished time spent with his wife of nearly 30 years, Agnes Bocelli-Bratspis, traveling frequently to Greece with her and her family. A devoted father and grandfather, he delighted in supporting his children - Brian Bratspis (Randi) and Debby Bleznak (David); and step-son Costas Bocelli (Brandi) – and grandchildren Max, Sadi, Zander, Rylan, Blake, and their activities. He also maintained close bonds with his sister Delores Brandeis (Michael), former wife Ruth Youngman Brenner, sister-in-law Manya Ortiz, and brothers-in-law Captain George Terzakis and Dr. Costas Terzakis.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary Bratspis (Saiken), Lewis leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. His vibrant personality touched countless lives.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 24th at noon at Mt. Jacob Cemetery, 700 W. Oak Lane, Glenolden, PA. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
