Lewis Howard Meltzer

Lewis Howard Meltzer, July 7, 2026, of Wynnewood, PA; loving husband of Sandra Meltzer (nee Bergelson); devoted father of Audrey Iannelli (Mark) and Debbie Benish (The late David); proud grandfather of Leo, Matthew and Sarah and cherished brother of Stan Meltzer (Miriam).

While at Temple University, Lewis joined the ROTC, which led to a military career in the Army Reserves, where he rose to the rank of colonel.  Lewis graduated with a Master's degree in Psychology, which he practiced for over 60 years.  During such time, he worked in the Cherry Hill School District and various juvenile detention centers.  He also worked closely with the PA. State Police as well with multiple FOP's. In addition, Lew worked with the National MS Society and counseled a multitude of MS patients and their families, helping them to navigate this difficult disease.

Lew was always willing to help anyone in need.  Even if you just met him, any favor was not too big for him.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to Chapel services, Friday, July 10, 2026, 11:00 AM at Joseph Levine & Sons, Memorial Chapel, 4737 E. Street Road, Trevose, PA 19053. Services may be viewed online at levinefuneral.com/trevose-webcam.html.  Interment to follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lewis’s memory may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
