Louis Samuel Chait 85, Died peacefully in his sleep, March 15, 2021. He was a man of good taste, quick wit and proud of his Jewish faith. Son of Max and Anna (Sagel) Chait, beloved father of Renae Lasday (Stephen) of Sarasota Florida, Jennifer Levito (Kenneth) of Dresher, Pennsylvania, and Michael Chait. Loving grandfather to Spencer and Max Lasday, and Jennifer, Alissa, Conner and Kevin Levito, and adoring brother to Sondra (Chait) Singer, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Lou had a unique ability to understand any situation and without judgment. He was the soul and spirit of South Philadelphia of an era gone by, and he loved the political process and was a judge of elections for many years.
