Louis I. Piatetsky

Louis I Piatetsky, age 80, Decorated Navy Veteran, Postal Service worker, and poet passed away on Wednesday morning, January 12th, 2022 , in the Veteran Affairs Community Living Center in Philadelphia. Louis was a US Navy Corpsman who served in Vietnam. He received a Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal for Combat, and a Vietnamese Gallantry Cross. He was a distribution manager for the the US Postal Service for over 25 years . Louis was the son of Morris and Molly, and is survived by his brother, Walter, and many nieces and nephews.
Louis sought to leave the world a better place than when he came. He was known for saving lives and his generosity toward veterans and active listening clubs.

His funeral will be at Mt Lebanon Cemetery, 1200 Bartram Ave Collingdale,
Pa. 19023 on Tuesday, January 18th at 10am. There will be a chance to
speak about Louis at a gathering at the front of the cemetery at 10am
