Marcia Webber passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on January 23, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, Marci was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Bregman. She grew up with her brother Ronald in Strawberry Mansion. A loyal alumna of the Philadelphia High School for Girls and Temple University, Marci married the late Burton J. Webber and moved to Elkins Park, where they raised two loving daughters, Sharon Webber and Rachel Flamini.
After careers in medical technology and sales, Marci found her true calling; teaching. She was a Hebrew school teacher at several congregations, impacting generations of children--especially at the community that was the center of her busy days, Congregation Adath Jeshurun, where she also was the principal of the Torah Reading Academy.
Her energy, cheerfulness and relentless optimism will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. In addition to her brother and daughters, she is survived by Sharon's husband, Hillel Hoffmann and their son Samuel, as well as Rachel's husband, Nicholas Flamini and the son Julian.
Funeral services will be held at Congregation Adath Jeshurun, 7763 Old York Road, Elkins Park, on Sunday January 26, 2025, at 10a.m. (the family will begin receiving relatives and friends at 9:30a.m.). Interment will follow at King David Memorial Park, Bensalem, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marci's memory may be made to Congregation Adath Jeshurun
