Marie Louise Gorneau

GORNEAU MARIE LOUISE (nee BAKER) Age 93, born June 21, 1928, long-time Delaware County resident, passed away November 17, 2021. Louise Gorneau was a well-known high school history, social studies, geography, French, and English teacher and reading specialist. She taught in suburban Philadelphia high schools including Lower Merion, Vanguard, and Delaware County Intermediate Unit. She graduated from Temple University in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education and earned her Master of Science degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education in 1970. She minored in art history and was proud of her experience teaching in the American International School System in Den Haag, 1965-66. She is survived by her daughters Robin (David) and Stacy (John).
