Marlene Kushner, age 91, of Worcester, Pennsylvania died September 15, 2022. Daughter of Nathan Frank Sopher and Pauline (Sokoloff). Beloved wife of the late Arnold Kushner. Sister to Gilbert Sopher. She is survived by her children, Leah Kushner (Pam), William Kushner (Sharon), Nancy Flynn (Garrett); grandchildren, Shoshana Kushner, Jeffrey Kushner (Karen), Stacey Millison (Amber), Jason Kushner, Zach Flynn (Lyndsay), Rachel Flynn, Naomi Kushner; great-grandchildren Maya Kushner, Grayson Kushner, and Claire Kushner.

Born in the Logan section of Philadelphia, Marlene was a graduate of Girls Highand Temple University, earning dual degrees in education and social work. These accomplishments helped her pursue careers as a case worker and as a substitute teacher. Many of her summers were spent at Blue Mountain camp along with her brother after her mother suddenly passed away when she was 12 years old.

Marlene gained a keen sense of salesmanship and became a successful entrepreneur. She founded and managed Marn Design, an office supply and furniture business. As president, she leveraged her gregarious personality to win over her many customers. During this time, she also became a successful inventor and patent holder of Dynamag, which was a unique magnetic holder sold regionally to assist in keeping metal objects well organized.

Most of her married life in Lafayette Hill was enriched by 3 active children in
academics and athletics. She was a Girl Scout leader, as well as a regular participant in parent teacher activities. Later in life, she became a doting grandmother and great-grandmother.

Marlene was an avid world traveler with her husband. She loved bike riding, long walks, swimming, tennis, the ballet and attending the opera. With her family, summers frequently consisted of several weeks down the shore in Ocean City and Stone Harbor where she would spend sunrise to sunset on the beach.

The family will be having a private graveside service at Haym Salomon in Frazer, PA.
