Dr. Martin Goldstein

Dr. Martin E. Goldstein, age 85, of Haverford, PA passed on December 29, 2024. 

He was the loving husband of Janet (née Mendell), cherished brother of Arnold Goldstein (Noemi), proud uncle of David Goldstein and Daniel Goldstein, inspiration to a grandnephew and four grandnieces, and devoted human companion of CATerina. 

Professor of political science and international relations at Widener University 1968–2018, and an Air Force veteran, he was widely recognized for his expertise and interviewed on local television and radio in times of international crises. In 1976–1977 and again in 1991–1992, he was awarded governmental fellowships, during which he advised the Defense Department and State Department on arms control issues and served on diplomatic missions. 

A memorial celebration of his life is planned for the spring. Services and interment were private. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or to Widener University.
